The code name for the GS6 was supposedly “Project Zero,” which means that designers redesigned the Galaxy S to reinvigorate the Samsung flagship series.

Judging by emotion, it worked. The GS6 was designed with metal and glass – making it look more like an iPhone that other Galaxy S we’ve seen. – Qualcomm and even removed from their list of manufacturers to keep the badge with the best performance

But as we said in our review, the Google Nexus 6 is no slouch, though its design is not so good.

Galaxy Nexus vs S6 6 Specifications:

Display

After 2014, the year that all smartphones seem haverse larger, the GS6 could surprise because Samsung reduced screen 5.2 “to 5.1″. That screen now has a 2K resolution (1440×2560), which means 577 ppi on your screen Super AMOLED protected with Gorilla Glass 4.

The Nexus 6 is a great phone with a screen of 5.96 “with 2K same resolution, leading to 493 ppi with a screen with Gorilla Glass 3. Motorola is more conservative with their edges, making the screen almost 75 percent of the face of your phone while the proportion screen-body GS6 is closer to 70 percent

Point. Samsung (If you want something bright and portable)

Speed, Power and Storage

As mentioned, the Nexus 6 is powerful and has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.7 GHz 805 processor and 3GB of RAM. No mobile game will struggle with this phone.

That said, the GS6 seems to be better than most, if not all and some rivals with its Exynos 2015 System – Samsung rejected newest Qualcomm for GS6 after he could not compete in comparisons tests initial. The Exynos 7420 SoC (with 3 GB of RAM for good measure) is 64 bits, and early indications say it is very fast.

Meanwhile, Samsung is outpacing Motorola also internal storage. While fans of the Galaxy S will not be happy about the lack of support microSD, 128GB model GS6 is officially available for those who enjoy media and apps, while the Nexus 6 has a maximum of 64Gb (also without support microSD ).

As for the battery, at first glance it is difficult to see how Samsung can sell the huge battery of 3,220 mAh Nexus 6 because of their physical size, but the final verdict still requires testing.

In theory, a smaller screen with a reputation for low power consumption due to its Exynos 7420 chip 14nm design that could set a new standard of battery life (although the left GS6 standard Samsung replaceable battery)

In general point:.. Samsung

Camera

Here Samsung’s new phone beats the Nexus 6 also. The Nexus 6 has a much improved camera for the Nexus line, but a 13 MP sensor that Samsung used in 2013 in the Galaxy S4.

While the Nexus 6 has decent features like autofocus and Dual flash tone, GS6 has a 16 MP camera with f / 1.9 aperture for better images in low light. The camera software Samsung has not always been the most simple and understandable, but certainly capable of doing more than the camera app from Google.

OS, Software Ecosystem

Because both are Android phones, comparing ecosystem of apps is a draw. However, the GS6 is the badge that includes NFC payment system Pay Samsung, which aims to compete against Apple’s offering.

Google is not far behind with Android Pay, but of course you have the freedom choice between systems Samsung or Android if you have the GS6, which is not the case for the Nexus 6.

However, the biggest advantage of Nexus 6 is that it is a Google phone, which means it has a privileged place in line updates Google as Android Lollipop. In November, if Google decides to launch another Android update, the Nexus 6 will be updated long before Samsung launches TouchWiz and update.

But since Lollipop appear to be the largest in long hand, and is preinstalled on the GS6, along with other Microsoft apps, we will give victory to Samsung by default

Date Release, Availability and Price

The GS6, along with his cousin curved screen the GS6 Edge will be available with the main operators on April 10. The Nexus 6, released in late 2014, is already on the market.

The base price, desblpqueado, for GS6 is about $ 650 (translated from official UK price of £ 599.99) which is not cheap. But with a two-year contract, expects the price down to about $ 200 with operators, more or less, in the US. Prices for 64-GB and 128 GB have not been announced.

Meanwhile, the Nexus 6 has already dropped in price, with some deals we’ve seen that make the phone costs less than $ 100 with contract, or as little as $ 500 unlocked and slightly used.

If you can bear to carry a large smartphone and want the cheapest option, choose the Nexus 6 that is versatile and powerful. But if price is no problem – and trust that Google will not release another OS in autumn – the Samsung Galaxy S6 seems to be the premium smartphone to beat this year
