Nexus-5800

Shrouded in secrecy and almost without generating noise, Google announced in late 2013 the Nexus 5, the fifth generation of his family to own smartphones. Expectations were very high, as this aimed to be finally the first Nexus 100% complete : good hardware, good user experience and a competitive price. And in a way so it was: Google and LG created a really good product (despite its flaws) that unquestionably has become the best smartphone Nexus to date

The Nexus 5 has been unquestionably the best smartphone Nexus to date But how pretty it was this journey, at some point had to come to an end. Y that end has occurred today when Google has decided to stop marketing the Nexus 5 in the Google Play Store, and focusing all efforts on the latest Nexus smartphone, the Nexus 6 Motorola and Google – this does not mean that the company ceases to support the terminal or that this is no longer markets in other distributors (which is very likely to occur during a given time) -.

This “death” of Nexus 5, Google moves over the stage of the “cheap” Nexus smartphones that has caused such a stir in the telecommunications industry for years. Now it focuses on creating more solid products and the highest possible range although later as happened with the Nexus 6, is not so well -.

However, the time it closes Nexus 5 has marked the Android platform forever , because it demonstrated the ability to create good products (in terms of user experience) without raising the price until you really exorbitant figures. A legacy that, as I said, will forever remain in the DNA of Android and the world of telephony in general.

Game Over, Nexus 5.
