Android 7.1 Nougat Beta 2 comes to Nexus 6P, Nexus 5, Nexus 9 and … – CNET in Spanish

Stephen T. Shankland/CNET

Google released the new pre-release or beta of Android Nougat for developers (Developer Preview 2), this Tuesday for the latest Nexus and the tablet Pixel C.

The images of the manufactures of this version of Android is already found on the web page for developers of Google. From there you can install the new version manually on devices like the Nexus 6S, Nexus 5, Nexus 9 or Pixel C.

however, it is expected that in a short time Google will enable the update wireless to users who are members of the beta program of Android, and that they have a compatible device.

This new version of Android 7.1 Nougat comes nearly a month after the company released the first beta version of Android 7.1 Nougat. At that time the Nexus 9 was not compatible with that version, with this new update this tablet joins the group of Nexus and Pixel that have already been able to enjoy the shortcuts of apps and other innovations that brings Android 7.1.

Google says that this new beta version is almost complete, so that at the end of the year, the company could begin to release the final version for these devices.

Android 7.1 Nougat Beta 2 brings no major changes, but offers an experience and performance almost as you would expect in the final version. This also means that this Android update brings multiple fixes and performance improvements.

End Android 7.1 beta arrives for Nexus 5X, 6P, 9, and Pixel C – Ars Technica

Enlarge / The Nexus 5X and 6P, which will receive Android 7.1 next month.

Ron Amadeo

Google has released the second and final developer preview build of Android 7.1.1 to select Nexus and Pixel phones and tablets today—this is the update”s last stop before the final version is released to the company’s older hardware in early December. Like the first preview in October, this one supports the Nexus 5 and 6P as well as the Pixel C, and Google has added support for the Nexus 9 as well—you can enroll any of these devices in the beta program here to download over-the-air updates. The final version will add support for the Nexus 6 and the Nexus Player. The Pixel phones are already running Android 7.1, though they’ll presumably receive an update to 7.1.1 at around the same time with any applicable fixes and enhancements.

There aren’t major feature updates in the new beta, and Google’s post is mostly targeted toward developers who are getting their apps ready for the newest version of Nougat. Android Studio 2.2.2 includes support for the new API level 25, and the Android emulator images included with the developer tools have also been updated. And Google has provided tools to help developers create round icons for their apps and support Android 7.1′s new iOS-style app shortcuts.

As we’ve covered previously, Android 7.1 won’t bring all of the features of Google’s new Pixel phones to older Nexus and Pixel devices. Most significantly, you’ll have to do without the Google Assistant or the new Pixel Launcher, but you won’t get Daydream VR support or the full benefits of Nougat’s “seamless update” mechanism, either. Going forward, it’s not clear whether Pixel phones will receive new Android versions ahead of supported Nexus phones, whether those older devices can eventually expect to support the Pixel Launcher or Google Assistant, or whether even more Pixel-exclusive features will be added to the operating system. Nexus owners are still getting better and faster updates than most other Android phones, but it’s clear that Pixel is the future.

LG offers rebates for users of the Nexus 5X… – PoderPDA

you Have a hardware problem that you enter in bootloop

google-nexus-5-review-hand-on-10-

The LG Nexus 5X are presenting a serious problem

although the Google Pixel came to bury the name of the Nexus, they will not leave the mouth of the community Android so easily. Recently, users of the Google Nexus 5 have been affected by a failure very particular of the hardware, which has led to the company in charge of the device, LG, to issue full refunds.

in general, when users start to have problems with their mobile devices, send it to the warranty service, so, expect that the manufacturer will surprise you with its device fixed or a new drive. However, the situation of this case was not so. The owners of LG Nexus 5X have been reported that have been affected by a hardware malfunction that makes the phone enter in bootloop, or a boot loop, so have been forced to say goodbye to your device.

lg-nexus5x-boot

The problem is in the hardware takes the Nexus 5 to enter in bootloop

Such seems to be that in order to solve this defect, it requires a piece in special, however, is out of stock and it is almost impossible to get it, what that has led to LG to make a full refund instead of a new device or restored. For his part, Google stopped selling the Nexus 5 when it launched the new Pixel and Pixel XL, but some third party retailers still offering it, though, the south Korean company has stopped manufacturing the device.

The problem has gone out of the hands of the company, however, is still not known where it comes from and how it causes this problem as large, but the decision of LG in this respect was very successful, though unexpected, compared to that of Samsung with the Galaxy Note 7, and its folly to keep alive the series. Obviously, there is a long process of verification in the stores to return the entire money, but we are confident that the majority of customers they will not mind to get a full refund for a smart phone that already have been used for a few good months, yes, as long as you still have your receipt. It is a pity that this amazing Nexus device have that out of the way of such a mode, , or what you think you about it?

LG Can’t Fix Nexus 5X Bootloop Issue So It’s Offering Full Refunds – Tech Times

LG is currently unable to repair Nexus 5 smartphones are affected by so-called “bootloop” malfunction, so it’s issuing full refunds to make up for it.

A number of Nexus 5 owners who have sent their device in for repair over the bootloop issue have received word from LG that the company is currently out of stock for the materials needed to fix the problem. Consequently, LG is offering to refund the full cost of the smartphone so that customers can get another one.

Most of the time, when customers send their devices in for repair, the manufacturer either fixes the problem or, if that’s not possible for some reason, offers a refurbished unit that has been reconditioned or sends out a new unit in some cases. None of these options seems to apply in the Nexus 5X case, which indicates that the bootloop issue is quite problematic to fix.

Nexus 5X Repair Currently Not Possible: Parts Out Of Stock

LG is offering to issue full refunds for the Nexus 5 because it doesn’t have the necessary part to fix the bootloop issue, which renders the smartphone unusable. The unavailability of the parts is not that surprising considering that Nexus devices in general are not produced in extremely high volume, at least not when compared to other flagship smartphones.

This means that specific parts are produced in relatively low volume as well, which, in some cases, may lead to a shortage such as the one LG is currently felt sensing with Nexus 5X parts.

Full Refund For Nexus 5X Bootloop

“We have received your device at our repair facility but currently to part to complete the repair is out of stock and is no longer available,” LG said in an email to a customer. “To rectify this, we would like to offer you a refund for the full amount of your device.”

To take advantage of the full refund, customers will need to provide their sales receipt. The refund will take roughly four weeks to reach customers, as things get busier this time of year.

Nevertheless, the offer is very generous — customers got to use the phone for a year and are still eligible to get the full retail amount they paid for. Based on user comments on Reddit, Nexus, 5X owners felt sensing bootloop issues are wasting no time in taking advantage of this offer.

If you’ve also experienced bootloop issues with your Nexus 5X, contact LG customer support and set things in motion to get a full refund.

It has been a while that the Google nexus 7 tablet is in the news. Information available on the internet suggests that the tablet could steal the show in 2017 gadget trend.

According to reports from University Herald Google Nexus 7 would be the first device to rock Andromeda OS. It is a hybrid operating system which merges features in Chrome and Android. This OS would be debuted into two Nexus devices, tablet and hybrid laptop.

Android Police says that Pixel 3 laptop will debut in Q3 2017. Another source states that Google’s Nexus 7 tablet is on track for release.

As Andromeda OS promises to connect laptops, tablets, and Smartphone”s in a better way, hence it would be a great invention in the tech world. This OS enhances the multitasking experience as it allows accessible file system and a device to have an adaptable UI.

the Google Nexus 7 will feature 4GB of RAM with a Snapdragon 820 chipset which would be more tempting for tablet seekers. In case it comes with an AMOLED display then this device’s speedy performance might make far ahead of Galaxy tab S3 which has 3GB of RAM and it works on nougat OS.

No one is aware of the fact whether the Google Nexus 7 would be built by Huawei. The Pixel phones have already entered the high-end market. In case Google Nexus 7 enters the Pixel family than tech geeks might expect more expensive price tag.

Presently there are lots of references to this device as Huawei Nexus 7. Google had handed over a project to Huawei to build Android-based Nexus 7 but as of now the focus has shifted to develop the Nexus 7 with Andromeda OS.

Andromeda is a challenge for device makers as they need to deal with product categories like Chrome books which might potentially go away and Google wishes to create it on its own branded hardware products.

Draper Nexus closes $175 million fund, LP’s include Panasonic … – TechCrunch

Early stage venture firm, Draper Nexus, you’ve closed sti second fund at $ 175 million, according to Managing Director Q Motiwala. Sti debut fund closed in 2013, at $ 50 million.

Limited partners in Draper Nexus are global tech conglomerates, primarily based in Japan.

For its second fund, the firm signed up about 20 LP’s including Panasonic, Hitachi, Kyocera, Shimizu, NEC, Canon and others. Most are global brands that early-stage tech entrepreneurs, whether they’re building enterprise software or consumer hardware, would love to include on their client rosters.

Draper Nexus was an early backer of marketing firm LiveRamp, AI-based cybersecurity providers Cylance, an autonomous vehicle tech firm Nauto, and Enlighted, makers of smart lighting systems for commercial buildings.

Though the firm is young, it has already chalked up eight exits, most notably with its investment in Shift to software-testing company that went public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2014. The company is thriving and Draper Nexus has retained shares in the business.

What makes Draper Nexus stand out from other, larger and older venture firms in Silicon Valley is an emphasis on helping startups to lock in their first, or biggest enterprise customers.

Motiwala said, "We invest in companies that are not just exciting to us, but where we know we can bring some customer or channel partnership advantages to them. The large corporations in our fund have skin in the game."

The firm assigns multiple partners to each startup, working to get them agreements with corporations and executives they would have had a hard time just meeting on their own.

With its second fund, Draper Nexus plans to back companies in transportation or mobility, cybersecurity, big data as it applies to complex industries such as insurance or logistics, AI and robotics.

About one-third of Draper Nexus' investing team is based in Tokyo, and the rest is in San Mateo. The fund sometimes invests in companies that start with a regional focus on Japan.

In Japan, Motiwala said, Draper Nexus may back new marketing automation and adtech, and startups. The country’s enterprise software providers have yet to catch up to the U. S. in these segments.

Up to 80% of Draper Nexus' money is invested in early stage deals, and that’s a focus they want to maintain with their second fund.

They usually seek to co-invest with other firms, and sign a check up to $ 5 million in Series A deals. If they missed a particularly good opportunity, the partners said, they will look at Series B deals. About 5% of Draper Nexus investments go to seed-stage deals, and the firm typically invests $ 250,000.

A rising star in the firm, senior associate Deepak Jagannathan, is helping to run a new program for Draper Nexus with the close of its second fund.

Dubbed GoPilot, the initiative will serve as something of an accelerator for already formed and funded companies.

Draper Nexus will invite early stage startups with enterprise software, services or hardware to pitch five to ten corporations in a given field at something like a closed demo day.

Startups that succeed walk away with 2 enterprise clients or business development agreements after they pitch. And Draper Nexus will put $ 50,000 in funding, at founder-friendly terms, into the startup. The funding will go to support the development of joint projects with large corporate partners.

"We have enabled more than 50 pilot projects already here, and were able to create a kind of template that works to make these things come together in a shorter period of time than it would normally take to startup. It’s a really important milestone," Jagannathan said.

Meanwhile, corporations are happy to have external money support to pilot project that could otherwise be delayed while they try to find internal budget.

Draper Nexus also works to make sure that the terms of any business development deals are founder-friendly, so startups can, for example, retain intellectual property or avoid exclusivity that could limit their growth.

So, before you install this version, be aware that you might lose some functions of time. Each day will be able to get updates with which they are correcting those problems more or less severe until they finally launch a Beta version and a stable version. But for now, this is all we can have of CyanogenMod 14.1 in these smartphones.

it Is a good option for users who want to already have Android 7.1 Nougat as well as for the users who want a clean interface and basic, inspired by AOSP and want all the possibilities of CyanogenMod.
