We tested the Nexus 9 – ALT1040

We have a 9 Nexus with us who have been testing it for today. It’s a tablet, basic Special . I do not speak-still-in performance, or aspects of the tablet itself. At a few points why this Nexus tablet 9 is a different to that seen so far:

• Back HTC . The experiment they did with the HTC Flyer in the world of tablets was unbearable not me, says UN resolution 2012. The good performance in the Taiwanese smartphone had a very different story in tablets. If returned, it had to be something that could convince at least on paper, at least.

• New Size Nexus . Beyond the 5 to 6 inches of the latest smartphones were 7 and 10 tablets. The Nexus 8.9 inch 9 arrive. Or what is the same, the approximately 9. There are only 8

• 4: 3. . For some reason, the market is saturated with Android tablets with ratio 16: 9 or 16:10. Was much needed alternative that they were received. The widescreen is good for watching videos, and very little more. To surf the web or use applications it is more advisable to 4: 3

A while ago we said we wanted to see in Celularis Nexus made by HTC. It has finally fallen into tablet form. Why do I start with this? For HTC, while unable to preinstall Sense nor any of its own applications as Zoe, yes it has gotten a little extra as the double tap on the screen to unlock . Small details that remind us that HTC, although still far from the top in sales, does maintain relevance as producer.

The screen is spectacular . Read your specifications with a resolution equivalent to the Retina iPad data is incomplete and does not mean much, not even close. There’s plenty more. Viewing angles, panel quality, full brightness, contrast … In all these parameters, the Nexus panel 9 is pretty well resolved

The other aspect that is striking is … speakers . Two front speakers with volume and sound quality as you can assure HTC and a few others. It is part of the multimedia experience you have to have a tablet. I think for example the LG G Pad 8.3 and its very low volume, and how much that limited multimedia experience on a day to day

More:. very performance heavy games is not optimal . We were promised that the 192 cores of the Nvidia Tegra graphics K1 would allow graphs of heart attack, but if the final yield is not that high, does not help much. In the benchmarks it is below any current iPhone iPad or even the Note 4 … or even the Note 3.

As a design, bittersweet: looks good, is sufficiently minimalist, but the materials and finishes leave a building that could definitely be better . I talk about volume buttons and lock / unlock that seem taken from a tablet four times cheaper. Or of a material to the rear which is not at the level of the Nokia Lumia polycarbonate, for example.

In this design, HTC has tried, and almost succeeded. The bulk of mortals see a tablet that gives them everything they need, also in design. Purists will miss each other a little more care in construction. The feelings are important even for those who are not aware of their presence

Verdict

The Nexus 9 is not the best tablet on the market. But playing in their favor which is not the most expensive, as part of the 389 euros. Above are the iPad and Galaxy Tab S. The Nexus 9 is a tablet that plays with a price more content than its rivals, a more than acceptable quality, despite some flaws base will have to see to background in the analysis, and the seal Nexus .
