Speech recognition Nexus Nexus 6 and 9 improves the … – Tablet Zone

We will not tire of repeating the importance of the software on the end result of a device. Although sometimes it is a factor taken into account unless the hardware characteristics, there are many examples showing that sometimes even above this. The latter is found in the Nexus Nexus 6 and 9 , the latter marketed by Google devices share the Ti chip C55 for the voice recognition function with Moto X, however, the results are better. Why?

The Moto X was the first device capable of constantly listen voice commands, even with the screen off. This is achieved thanks to an application for voice control that is always running, listening possible commands. This feature is known as “Hot Word Detection” and is integrated to any terminal on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The problem, which can significantly increase energy expenditure, especially when the device is not in use. To tackle this problem, Motorola Moto X joined the low power chip Ti C55, and indeed, the Nexus 6 and 9 use Nexus as well.

What is the advantage then? The Moto X uses a tool for detecting HotWords and a second, in this case Google Search for command recognition and carrying out orders, while Android 5.0 Lollipop uses Google Search in both cases . This results in a much faster operation, answers almost instantly and much lower error rate . In comparison, the system performance of Moto X described it as “a clumsy intermediary hacked”.

Looking ahead

For some time speech recognition systems have become Foreground: Siri, and Google Cortana Now improve day by day and the future seems aimed toward this technology, which can be applied in many devices and be useful for purposes covering many different fields. In Mountain View are clear, hence they have implemented this software layer to any manufacturer who wants it can use low-power chips Hot Word and offering consumers the benefits they offer to the Nexus 6 Nexus and September.

It seems that many manufacturers will take this opportunity and go up to a car pulled by Google. Do you think good idea? Do you think that the systems voice recognition are important or not you use them
