Google is giving a lot of talk and no wonder with the two new handsets that have launched (more or less). On the one hand, we have the Nexus 5 , the flagship of Google, with incredible performance and manufactured by the South Korean LG . On the other hand, this week launched the new terminal by Motorola, now Google owned company, the Moto G . This device boasts a performance of a medium to high and a surprise, at a very low price . Without doubt, this November has been the month of Google.

If you go back a year ago, we find the Nexus 4 , the predecessor of the current Nexus 5. Despite a disastrous appearance some problems for their stock in Google Play, the Nexus 4 was launched in order to make competition at the top of the range that existed at that time as may be the iPhone 5 or Galaxy S3. Maybe it was a risky idea from Google but yet it seems that worked for them and they have decided to follow that line, so just look at the price of the new Nexus 5.

amazing processor and a display of 4.95 inches, the Nexus 5, manufactured by LG, it has launched the smartphone market head to fight for a position with the current high-end competition. In addition to its great features, we find its price, being about half that of the current flagship competition. Also, if LG had intervened more in the creation of this device, you may not talk now the Nexus 5, but the Nexus G , which is how LG has said he would have liked to call this new terminal Google. This name comes in line with the high-end LG, as in the case of G and G2.

On the other hand, after the acquisition of Motorola Mobility by Google , there are new terminals manufactured by this company but under orders from Google. We know the Moto X, the first Motorola device made by hand with Google, that offers a high-end mobile and well adapted to Android. In addition to this device, yesterday we witnessed the final attack to competition, the Moto G. This latest smartphone launched by Google is certainly a way to enter the mobile market medium to high and compete with other devices with an affordable most people. The Moto G also boasts good incorporating Android and in addition to a performance worth taking into account in the current catalog of mid-range phones.

If we look at the technical specifications of both devices we find a considerable difference. On one side is the Nexus 5 with its high performance worthy of a top model and the other is the Moto G , the mid-range mobile ready to succeed in the public. At first there phones seem comparable, but we will see that they are.

Internally

Nexus May offers greater potential processor by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 to 2.3 Ghz quad-core and 2GB of RAM . Although Moto G also boasts good performance for a midrange having therein a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core 1.2 GHz and 1GB of RAM .

As embedded cameras in these devices, the Moto G has a resolution of 5 Mpx in its rear camera and 1.3 Mpx in front . Although here continues to demonstrate why the Nexus 5 is a high-end as boasts a 8MP rear camera , and a 1.3 Megapixel front . Megapixels are not everything, and will have to wait to see what can the Moto G with 5 of your camera.

If we talk about the screens of these devices we find that the Nexus 5 boasts 4.95 inch , a resolution of 1920 × 1080 and 445 ppi . As for Moto G and refers we find a lower quality display, this being 4.5 inches, resolution 1280 × 720 and 329 ppi . At first glance for an average user there is no difference in the quality of both screens but of course, on paper, the Nexus 5 gets the upper hand.

the other side and if we look at the operating system, the Nexus 5 is the first handset with Android 4.4 and serial KitKat Moto G will come with Android 4.3 with a future update to 4.4 KitKat . In this way and by optimizing for 512MB RAM devices to the latest version of Android would squeeze the potential of the Moto G. The good news is that Motorola promises always updates to your devices, logical being now part of Google.

Last but not least, the battery . If we go to the technical specifications of these devices, we can see that the built-in battery in the Nexus 5 is higher capacity 2300mAh this being against the 2070mAh from that found in Moto G . Of course, this is data on paper and there is still the ultimate user experience Google terminal. Although, the Moto X , despite having little capacity battery, is highly optimized and has a very efficient energy consumption . Thanks to this, even if it has lower capacity battery, the durability of this throughout the day is amazing. In that case, if the Moto G follows the path of his older brother, maybe we meet the mid-range device with more efficient battery consumption on the market.

The fact that Google along with Motorola start looking the optimization war against core that currently exists, is great news. So much so that if they find perfect synchronization between device and operating system and considering the high performance of the current top of the range, we would find extraordinary phones with great battery optimization and impressive performance.

In general, first we found a top model with which to play all kinds of games or use any application, while on the other hand we have a perfect phone for an average user to watching videos, using applications courier and make calls without any problems.

Google ready to compete in the market with other manufacturers

nexus-5-market-competitors

If we see prices of the last two terminals of Google launched on the market we can realize that it is a direct attack other manufacturers . So much so, that while other companies offer their top end to prices around € 600 on average , Google has decided to launch its flagship for a minimum price of € 349 . No doubt that is a risky move by Google but it already worked once with the Nexus 4 so I decided to risk it again launching the Nexus 5 priced a little higher than that of his predecessor in his Launch . Google’s intentions are clear, launch mobile devices with high quality and good performance at affordable prices and trying to cover the widest possible audience.

For the avoidance of doubt just have to observe the range of Google Nexus and the new Moto G. Within the Nexus range we find a high-end smartphone and two tablets of different sizes, which one of them, the Nexus 7 was recently renewed and improved keeping the price of its predecessor . Also, last but not least, Moto G also comes into play with a average performance and an affordable price . A live double attack its competitors with the launch of Nexus 5 to Moto G.

In my opinion, Google’s decision to launch these two devices is a smart way to shove through existing corporations Android smartphones. Also, before you just jumped to the market for high-end phones with its Nexus 4 and now, with the launch of Moto G, goes straight to the market for mid-range phones. No doubt that Google has the direct and want to take your operating system along with their devices as high as possible. In my view, if devices still offer good performance at the price line that is taking lately, has a good chance of earning an important place among the great current mobile manufacturers.

Do you think Google will keep these prices on their devices or that once earned its place in the market raise prices?
