How to get Android Nougat for your Nexus device right now – CNET in Spanish

on Monday, Google announced that it has begun the deployment of Android Nougat on their devices; the update will arrive to their Nexus devices in the coming weeks. The new version of the Android operating system adds dozens of new emojis, support for the function multi-window, direct response from notifications and better battery life, among other functions.

in Addition to the Nexus 5, Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player, the update will also be available for the devices Pixel C and the Android One.

Follow these steps to see if the Android Nougat is available for your Nexus device:

  • Go to Settings (Settings).
  • Swipe down and select About Phone (About phone).
  • click on System Updates (system Update).
  • add a touch to the button “Check for update” (check for update).

How to get Android Nougat already

do Not want to wait? We have confirmed that those users that have subscribed to the beta program for Google Android are receiving the update to the latest version before the other users of Nexus devices. You can subscribe to the program here, click on Enroll (Subscribe) and follow the same steps to check for an update listed above. You’ll be able to see the update ready to download in a few minutes.

You may cancel your subscription to the program once you have installed Android Nougat on your device. This method seemed to work on the Nexus 6S and not erase my personal data or apps. We have confirmed that this method works on the Nexus 5X, also.
