All Nexus owners were expecting a few months ago to upgrade to Android KitKat with great enthusiasm. One of the defining features of the Nexus is that updates come directly from Google, and it has a commitment to these teams in theory updating them quickly and without forgetting the not so new Nexus.
The Galaxy Nexus is the third Nexus history, and after 18 months of its marketing all surprised to see that Google did not remove it for the upgrade to Android KitKat. 
This was criticized and misunderstood by users, and shortly after began appearing solutions created by the community that somehow came KitKat Galaxy Nexus experience. However, a few days ago has appeared in this thread on XDA where it is carrying out a project to adapt the build KOT49H Galaxy Nexus.
Its author, baldwinguy77 describes this as OTA ROM-Like , referring to the ROM no additional modifications or additions, the aim being to get the Galaxy Nexus sits as close as possible to a Nexus 5.
