The new Google Nexus will be released soon in Google Store, but while we wait we have found strange references to “ Nexus Protect ” (digging through the code). It is clear that Google is up to something, but trying to figure out what. We tell the new rumors that revolve around Nexus Protect, a possible security plan for the new Nexus
Seeking the source code we were store.google.com with the following sentence:
You can not add this phone UNLESS it has the same choice as Nexus Protect other phones in your cart. You can update your choice or purchase this phone in your next order.
This phrase we come to say something like we can not add this to cart terminal unless this has the same “Nexus Protect” of the other smartphones we have in the cart. And we can upgrade our choice or buy the phone in the following order.
All this seems a bit strange and sudden, basically because we do not know these guys referred to Google. If we focus on what we read, it seems that Nexus Protect would be some protection plan Google extended warranty perhaps longer, some similar to Apple Care .
What Google seeks to make of all this? Somehow “compel” to make a purchase with the Nexus protected extended way, ie, with Nexus Project. Come on, that if we buy more than one terminal in a single purchase, or all have associated “Nexus Project” or not carrying any , at least we understand through the above lines.
We do not know if Google somehow looking limit the sale of Nexus with this all or nothing “Nexus Protect”, but it is clear that everything is speculation until we have official data.
An extra guarantee for the Nexus?
The guys at Android Police also told us things about it, so it is possible that if the case of a program Extra older guarantee. Come on, an extended warranty for new Nexus devices.
