It seems that Android M solves some of the problems of battery with which they were found users to pass Lollipop.

When put two Nexus 5 facing each one running Android 5.1.1 and the other running Android 6 , the second has far exceeded the autonomy of the first. According to the German blog Computerbase, the Nexus 5 with Lollipop lost four percent while in standby battery for 8 hours, while the one used with Marshmallow lost 1.5 percent.

After 24 hours, the model with Lollipop lost 12 percent compared to only 4.5 percent by the Nexus 5 with Marshmallow. The same rate of decline applied to the total of 48 hours: the Nexus with Lollipop lost 24 percent in the period, while the Nexus with Marshmallow only lost 9 percent

Using these data, the blog has been estimated that the total standby time is 533 hours for the Nexus 5 with Android Marshmallow against 200 horaspara the Nexus 5 with Android Lollipop. As Android M is still under development, this figure may be improved in the final version.

Although it is only a test of autonomy phone at rest, that is good news. Google announced at I / O Android M increase autonomy in the rest of devices with new functionality Doze , which determines when you do not use the term and puts it in a mode of low power consumption.
